Public transportation can provide a lifeline to health services, jobs, and community in rural areas, but what works in metro areas can’t just be transferred to the rural setting. Focusing efforts on improving access specifically for rural residents can improve their quality of life and extend the benefits of connectivity to folks who might otherwise be isolated.
